Eaton Co., The Fort Garry Brewery, CKY-CKX (Radio Station), Chatfields, etc. Issued as a special edition large-format booklet, ‘The Manitoba Veteran’ was published by members of the Canadian Armed Services for service members. The anniversary number comprises of a rich selection of dispatches from various detachments, a brief record of the story of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, a history of the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders, a history of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles (“The Little Black Devils”), commemorative articles, anniversaries, and much more. A rich, and exceedingly scarce local military history. Light rubbing to the covers, contents clean, and unmarked; very good. Unrecorded in OCLC at time of cataloguing; we were unable to locate this title amongst the holdings at Peel, BAC/LAC, University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections, the Manitoba Legislative Library.
