See Driver’s Citation No. S112.1 [p.1027] wherein they state: “The ‘Foreword’ says that the cookbook was published to raise funds for the ‘post-care of infantile paralysis and also for cancer research.’ ‘Greetings’ refers to the publication as the ‘Royal Purple Cook Book’. The private collector reports that she bought her copy from her landlord’s wife in December 1949. An advertisement on p. 64 for Dad’s Place, 2039 Broad Street, ‘Oldest established Tire Shop in Regina – over 25 years’, suggests a later date because Regina City directories first list Dad’s Place and 2039 Broad Street in the volume for 1930 (1930+25 years = 1955); however, the tire shop may have had another name and been at another address before 1950.” (#3807) $295.00
