Large colour fold-out map affixed to the rear cover entitled, “The Dominion of Canada Shewing the Extend and Situation of Its Public Lands, Also Its Geographic Relation to The British Isles. Light edgewear, chipping along edges of card covers, the string binding is very tender and starting, ex-library stamp to the front cover from, “Bibliotheque Nationale/National Library, Archeveche de Saint-Boniface, Man.”. The contents remain clean and unmarked with the exception of one stamp to the title page of the aforementioned library. Overall, good+. A report addressed to Prime Minister Sir John A. Macdonald (who concurrently served as Minister of the Interior) from the Surveyor General J.S. Dennis on, “the question of the practicability of establishing an ocean route for trade purposes between Europe and the North-West of the Dominion, via Hudson’s Straits and Bay”. Scarce. Softcover.
