First Edition, First Printing. pp. viii, 374. Royal 8vo. Lilac cloth over boards with gilt rules, lettering and aromorial plate of the regiment to the front board, spine; untrimmed pages edges. Faint library stamps to the endpapers otherwise, no other library marks internally, or externally. Colour frontispiece depicting John Moore, and accompanied with a plethora of black and white maps, photographic reproductions, illustrations, et al. Pocket affixed to rear pastedown featuring two folded maps. Very light bumping to the spine ends, text-block remains bright, clean, and unmarked with tight, sound binding. Overall, very good. Inscribed to Lt.-Col. R.B.L. Thompson from Major General (later Lieutenant General) Sir Harold Redman, KCB, CBE (1899-1986) of the K.O.Y.L.I. in ink to the front pastedown. Hardcover. (#1582) $85.00
