Twenty-one (21) exquisitely reproduced lithograph drawings depicting a variety of Inuit scenes each measuring 10″ x 6.5″. Printed individually on heavy card stock all with their original tissue-guards. The drawings are housed in a wrapper entitled, “These drawings were made at Amadjuak Bay, Fox Land, the Winter Quarters of Sir William Mackenzie’s Expedition to Baffin Land and Hudson’s Bay, 1913-14”. Accompanying the drawings is an explanatory booklet (pp. 24) by Edmund “Ted” Snow Carpenter [1922-2011], noted American anthropologist and expert on Indigenous art. The drawings as well as the booklet are both housed in a tan cloth clamshell case. One very faint spot to one corner of the clamshell case otherwise, near fine. Hardcover. No. 109 of a limited edition of 200 copies. An exceedingly scarce title, there are only two known copies of the original (only one complete). cf.
