Uniformly bound in 3/4 dark brown leather over maroon cloth boards; gilt rules, lettering and five raised bands to spine; six compartments. Marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, untrimmed page edges. Three hundred and sixty-one lovely engraved plates of prominent figures and personalities of Kay’s day, all preceded with their original tissue-guards. Significant edgewear to the leather portions of the bindings, slight bowing to the boards of the first volume; bookplates affixed to the front pastedowns of all volumes. Slightest age-toning otherwise the contents remain overwhelmingly clean and unmarked with sound bindings. Overall, very good. Leather Bound. (#265) $550.00
