On the outside back face of the binding, there is a 1930’s-style portrait of Anna Lee Scott above her letter to, “Dear Friend”, in which she writes, “It is many years since I began as a dietician lecturer and adviser on household science, and each year I have received thousands of letters through my magazine and radio work.
